Lobbytrack Unveils Touchless Visitor Sign In
Lobbytrack makes touchless visitor sign in simple, safe and secure.

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Nov 2, 2020 – Lobbytrack, a globally recognized visitor management system, lifted the covers off its Touchless Visitor Sign-in module today. The newly launched feature allows visitors to sign in for their visit using a mobile phone. They don’t need to use a shared tablet or touch other commonly touched objects to check into or out of a facility.

"We foresaw the need for touchless visitor management during the lockdown," says Sandeep Jolly, founder and CEO of Jolly Technologies, Lobbytrack's parent company. "Our product team started working to add the touchless visitor sign in feature right after the CDC updated its COVID transmission guidance."

Before COVID-19, most digital visitor management systems required guests to enter their information and check in using a shared kiosk or iPad. In May, CDC issued a media statement saying that "it may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes".

Shared or commonly touched surfaces at workplaces can include pens, visitor books, touchscreen kiosks or tablets, keypads, door handles, countertops, printers, computer keyboards, and shared tools or equipment. The coronavirus can survive on most of these surfaces for several hours and can transfer to a person if they touch a surface after it was touched by an infected individual.

Lobbytrack touchless sign in is quite simple to use. Hosts can schedule visits and invite guests to register in advance using Lobbytrack Employee App. Pre-registered visitors can sign in by scanning a QR code displayed on a tablet placed in the lobby. Unregistered visitors can register on the spot using their mobile phone and sign in without touching anything. The software also allows organizations to screen visitors against offender watchlists and ask them to answer health questions or sign documents before they can sign in for the visit.
