Yes, Print Studio can save and retrieve images from a database using any of three methods: images saved as binary data, images saved as OLE objects, and from a file path that points to the location of an image file. Print Studio can connect to any ODBC/OLE DB compliant database and also includes a standalone sample database and the ability to create a new database.
- Can I edit images using Print Studio?
Print Studio includes an integrated image manipulation tool that performs simple image manipulations such as cropping, flipping, and rotating an image. Print Studio can also automatically resize images to fit into a defined rectangular area.
- Can I acquire images from a digital camera, webcam or scanner using Print Studio?
Yes, Print Studio will work with any TWAIN or WIA compliant digital camera, webcam, or scanner. Images can be inserted directly into a database or onto an ID card to streamline the ID card creation process.
Note: Different cameras and scanners have different capabilities. Some may be able to snap pictures directly from the Acquire Image dialog, while others may require that the picture be taken before the device is connected to the PC. Generally speaking, webcam's are often a good choice for capturing images for ID cards as they often allow images to be snapped through the TWAIN/WIA interface.
- Can I save or export my Print Studio file as an image?
Yes, Print Studio images files may be exported as JPG or BMP files. If you have an Adobe Acrobat printer installed, you may print to a PDF file to obtain a vector image output.

and more. New records can be easily added using the integrated
Database Editor and existing records may be modified. Certain
databases may not permit editing, but can still be viewed. Databases
can also be opened as Read-Only to prevent accidental editing.

Yes, Print Studio includes a Microsoft Access compatible database for your use. Included in the database is sample data to demonstrate some of the features of Print Studio.

Note: Storing image paths rather than image binaries is often a very good alternative as only the text containing the path to the image file is stored in the database. Databases such as Microsoft Access may suffer severe slowdown if more than a few image binaries are stored in the database.
