"We needed a simple method for creating, storing, and printing secure photo ID cards. Since we have owned the product we have had no problems. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest I gave Print Studio a 10."

About Chenango County DSS
New York State is divided into fifty-eight local social services districts. Chenango County Departments of Social Services (DSS) provides and administers the full range of publicly funded social services and cash assistance programs for Chenango County residents.
Challenge
As a state agency in New York, a secure work environment is essential for Chenango County DSS. Employees must be identified in a secure and reliable manner. Chenango County DSS was looking for a simple way to create professional photo ID cards. Card creation and modification had to be quick and easy as county employees change areas often.
Solution
With Print Studio 2.0, the agency found exactly what they were looking. The easy to use tools and database setup helped get them up and running immediately.
"We used a basic template by hard coding all the data that does not change. We then added variables for the other areas. In most cases developing our ID cards is a one step process."
They have also found maintaining the employee database to be hassle free.
"My main requirement when purchasing software is that it be easy to implement and even easier to train someone else on how to use it. After I developed the template and produced a few cards, I assigned the responsibility to one of our clerks. Again, Print Studio gets high marks in this area," explains Mr. Rifanburg.
"Now everyone has an ID card. They can be identified on site. There is no question
who the workers are," says Mr. Rifanburg.
Benefits
- Very easy to use and to train others to use
- Importing photos is simple
- Creates professional, secure ID cards
In Summary
"We have had a very good experience with Print Studio. We have had no problems
with the software or hardware associated with the system. The system was easy to
implement and assign within the organization. It did not take a high level technical
person to implement or run," says Mr. Rifanburg.
